20111115 Hong Kong Day 3 - Big Buddha

On day 3, we went to the Lantau Island to visit the Big Buddha.

Before we left, mommy took some pictures from the sea view of the hotel room.

A photo of the bus terminal between the hotel and harbour.  We took bus 42 from this terminal.  The green ferry goes to Kowloon City
We took the MTR to Tung Chung and transfer to the cable car.  The waiting time to get the ticket for the cable car and waiting for the cable car is almost an hour.  And this is on a weekday!

A view of the airport from the cable car

Some pictures taken from the Nong Ping Village.

As K does not want to go up the 100+ steps to see the Big Buddha (again, she claimed to be tired and wanted to be carried again), mommy and K waited below the steps while daddy went up on his own.  The next 2 photos are taken by him at the top of the steps.

Management has arranged for some shows by some bubble masters, and there are also many bubble machines around the whole place.  So K has some fun catching bubbles.

After that, mommy went to the Citigate outlets but did not manage to buy anything.

Went back to the hotel.  Went ladies market at night but did not buy anything again.  Disappointing trip. :P

SST, think I reach there around 10.30am - 11am. It was a weekday so BY RIGHT the queue should not be there. Not sure if its because there is some tour coach(es) because we see alot of China old folks (don't think they will F & E).

There is bus alternative but heard that its quite winding and take about 1 hour (??) too.
