Day 4 - the kid's favourite day in Taiwan! Baby Boss!
One thing that mommy forgot to mention was that the breakfast selection at Keymans was very simple - bread, porridge with simple vegetables and nuts, and coffee. Popo was grumbling by then that she was unable to find good hot coffee in Taiwan (she forgot to pack her private stash into her luggage).

We were given a printout with the map of Baby Boss with the timing for the different activities the moment we entered. Everyone was also tagged with a security 'watch' that would supposedly allow them to check if an adult was exiting the premise with someone else's kids. As we had three kids among us with only two cameras, we group Charlie and K together while yy went for his older activities.
Being an astronaut was not one of K's choices (obviously her daddy's love for astronomy did not rub off on her. Thank goodness she did not say that she wanted to be a wrestler too, though there was no such activity there), but her first choice - being a fireman - was full (though it was a long time away from the starting time) so mommy dragged her and Charlie to queue up for the astronaut.
There was a bench outside each station. Each activity has a limit on the number of children who could join in that slot, and there are different timings for each station, so imagine the confusion!
For each activity, they were briefed on the jobscope and given the costume (to wear on top of their clothes). The staff would then lead them to the activity area to try out the activity. After each activity, the kids will be given Baby Bucks (currency) which they can use to exchange for free gifts or to take part in the activities that require 'money'.
For the astronaut, they had to put on their spacesuit (complete with a space helmet!) and then go 'somewhere' (the instructions are all in mandarin so it's lost in translation!) and deposited some rock onto the ground, and then went back to the spaceship which would shake a bit to simulate lifting off. Cool!

After the activity, the staff brought the children out for a photoshoot before bringing them in to remove the costume.

For this station, the kids are allowed to slide down the fireman's pole before the briefing starts! After the briefing, they will travel in the fire engine to another part of the premise where they have to put out a fire!
Below is a video (unable to rotate in youtube) of K sliding down the pole.

The fire engine can move! So cool! (OK mommy is behaving like a kid).

Next, we went to queue for the airline station. There were two jobs there - pilots and cabin crew, but the former was full so we queued for the cabin crew. Mommy is not sure what went on behind the scene for both occupations, but for the cabin crew, each kid is entitled to one ticket that allow the parent to go into the fake aeroplane and be served by your child!
Pilot is only for 6 person, 5 years old and above. Cabin crew 12 person only, 5 years old and above |
