CNY 2012

Been very very busy with no time to blog.

Chinese New Year this year came especially early this year.  Had a new project implementation on 1st January and have no time to prepare for CNY!

But manage to buy the Toy Story Alien Tees when daddy dragged us to the newly opened Changi Point Shopping Centre (something like that, its opposite Expo MRT).

On the first day, we went to the in law's place as usual.  This time round, both the cousins came, and finally, here is a picture which K looked like a big sister rather than a little girl (when taking photos with her maternal cousins, or friends, or peers, some of them are younger than her) :P



Sok sok (daddy's brother) brought 2 hamsters, and K was so excited.  She started off to stroke the hamster, and when she was given permission to carry it, she was very happy indeed.  Till now, she is still saying that her favourite animals are hamsters and Megan (see 3rd picture)

Day 2 went to er yee yee's  place because we are getting a small study table from her, and also to see Megan, er yee yee's dog.

This year, Megan is abit braver (compared to last year which she shivered so badly and so long when she saw strangers in the house).  So after a while, K is able to take pictures with Megan!  Er yee yee even took her polaroid so that K can have some hardcopy memories to bring home.

After that, we went to si yee yee's house for more kinect before going to po po's place for dinner.

Come weekend, and mommy met up with her secondary school friends again.  Auntie Pauline is going back to Australia so its one last round of catching up as we do not know when we will see her again.  Auntie Xiaowen is not feeling well and so Cheyanne did not come.  Nonetheless, the remaining kids have fun playing at Auntie Jiaen's place.

20101118 SSO Baby Prom

Finally managed to get the tickets for the SSO baby prom (thanks S!) which is held at the Esplanade this year.

Caelan went up to view the instruments but Kathleen did not manage to follow him and so sit at the edge of the stage instead where mommy was....

 When we left, we saw Irene and Sophia in the queue for the next performance.  Hi *wave*!!!

Kathleen is so happy with her balloon that she posed with it everywhere and place them on shoes and pretend to take pictures.  Future advertising executive? :P

 All in all, an OK performance.  The children did not enjoy as much as we have expected but the mommies have fun catching up during lunch. :)

20101009 wedding

On a Saturday evening, mommy and friends made their way to a highly anticipated wedding.  Auntie Pauline is getting married! :)  Most of the pictures turned out blur though...

Kathleen and Cheyanne now know each other as friends.  They don't chit chat about their lives, but insisted on holding hands and strolling slowly (too slow for the adults.. we are late!) along the river bank on the way to the wedding venue, occasionally stealing shy glances at each other or their hands.  So cute!

The 3 kids have fun running around the venue (its buffet so its not sit-in-your-seats-till-10pm kind of function) and dancing to the music including those sang via karaoke! :)

Went to the ranch Home @ Dempsey Hills

apetitizer.. cake... the staff, upon hearing that Kate might not like mousse, cut a smaller piece as sample for us to try first, so that we will not be stuck with a big piece of uneaten cake if the gal was to reject the food.  Good service!

main course.. pasta (of course!).  Not bad.

dessert... Ben and Jerry's.... she preferred the m&m's toppings than the ice cream.

Cheyanne, who now happily calls me Auntie after the last time I played with her all kinds of kiddy games in the middle of North Point...

Today, Kate went out with mommy and her secondary school friends to Wong Kok Char Chan Teng 旺角茶餐厅 at Bugis Junction to celebrate Auntie Wenbin's birthday.

Cheyanne and her mommy Auntie Xiaowen and her peanut butter toast bread. In the previous outing, Cheyanne was still a quiet little gal, but now she is cheeky and playful, pulling her mommy's scarf towards her so that mother and daughter are sharing it. :) She is now also very fond of practising her walking....

All the food.... we ordered main course, and alot of finger food (yes, that is a piece of bread in Kate's mouth! :P)

We had 2 kinds of toast bread, some tom yum noodles, wan tum dumplings (spicy!), bacon, rice, drinks, etc. Definitely more variety than the 茶餐厅 that mommy frequent at IMM.
