K loves to read.

And on Mother's Day, when mommy borrowed new books from the library, she just could not wait until we reach home.

p/s one of her favourite phrase nowadays is 'But I can't wait' (aka impatient)
pp/s while she can read simple English books on her own, she still need mommy to read Chinese books to her.  Hopefully she will be able to read Chinese books independently soon!

Kathleen always like to do 'adult chores', be it preparing her own powder, helping with put clothes into the laundry bags, and the more babyish things such like pressing the lift buttons.

Here is a video taken of her helping mommy to put the clothes into the laundry bag.  On a regular day, she will put the clothes into the bag, zip it up, ensure that the zipper head is in the 'pocket' (to prevent the zip from being undone when it is in the washing machine), and then drop it into the washing machine.  But with the video on, she is more hesitant in her actions.

Notice how, near the end, she was trying so hard to push the corner of the laundry bag into the washing bag.

Nowadays it is very difficult to take decent pictures of her so less blogging....

Had wanted to bring Kate kite flying but the wind just does not like mommy (nor her kite).  So mommy and Kate walked along some fields and ... what is she poking at???

aaahh..its some shrivelled, wrinkled mimosa flowers and leaves... Kate have some fun searching for the mimosa leaves and then poking at them just to see them closed up....

After that, she went to the elderly corner near her home and have fun with the equipment again....

During the gathering at Waraku, Auntie Yean yean informed mommy of this minature fishing toy that she bought at Daiso that provide hours of entertainment for her child. So mommy go and get the same toy.

But Kate is so abusive to the toy that the winding mechanism broke down after two days... :P


This is a picture of Kate playing with the mini magnetic board that mommy got with the kid's meal at Waraku. She like it so much that on the first night, she played with it past midnight and refuse to sleep... :P

This is Kate on the way to the market. She insisted on pushing the trolley all the way to the market. However, as she is too short for the handle, she had to tilt the trolley more than 45 degree so that she can hold onto the handle.

It took her a long time to finish the supposedly 10 minute work though. And she did help out again on the way back, with a half-loaded trolley.

What is Kate's newest favourite toy?

Its a Hamtaro Merry-go-round set that mommy got by buying the McDonald's Extra Value Meal many many years ago (most probably more than 10 years! Yes Mommy is that old!).

The merry go round can be wound up to let it goes round and round (not working very well now). Which, IMO, is more fun than the 'free toys' that comes with the Extra Value Meal nowadays. There is also a Hamtaro ferris wheel, which is at po po's place now.

Mommy has no idea what are the individual Hamtaros called though. Just called them (from right) daddy hamtaro, mommy hamtaro and baby hamtaro.

Kate now has a daily habit of surfing her blog at the end of every day using mommy's PC...

Mommy headache of course....

One weekend morning, Kate woke up and go over to mommy's bed. Mommy quickly pull her up on the master bed and pat her to work... and then quickly go to Kate's room and get to work before carrying her back to her own room....

And when Kate woke up..she saw THIS!


p/s for those that still cannot figure out, its a set of space glow-in-the-dark wall decal bought from SMH BP....

During Easter eve, the teachers at Kate's playgroup teaches them about Easter and teach them how to create their own bunny basket and Easter egg. They were also given a pack of goodies, which have been designated as for mommy's consumption (yes, the big bully). :)



At night, Kate did her jump jump (yes, whatever she was chanting was 'jump jump') with Papa as her 'personal trainer'. Its tough job, cos the adult have to use the knee to hold the gym ball so that it will not roll away.

Another thing that Kate had been playing with during her quaratine is this set of Winne the Pooh stickers. She will ask mommy to tear them out from its original piece, then stick on her hand, then stick them back onto the original piece (whatever you call it!). Then she started sticking them on the windows, one for each frame.

Then she will lined them all up so that each sticker will be slightly sticking onto the previous sticker to form one huge line of stickers.

The most recent one is when she will stick the stickers on the ledge of each window frame so that its like they are all sitting on the window ledge.

Cute :)

During the evening, since Kate's ulcers and lesions had healed, mommy decided to bring her downstairs for a walk. Here are some pics...
