20121201 Caelan' 6th Birthday

Auntie Nancy invited us to Caelan's 6th birthday which was held at the Bedok CC's Rock Climbing.

Mommy and K had not seen this group of friends for months so its a good time to catch up! :)

First, the people played some warm up games with the kids.

Then, they let the kids start climbing on the small wall inside the air con room.

K fell (when mommy was busy catching up with friends!) and hurt her fingers (Thanks Nancy for consoling that cry baby when mommy was not around!).  But the staff checked and it seemed that nothing was injured.  The fingers did not even swell.  So mommy persuaded K to put on the harness like the rest of the kids so that she can try the wall climbing outside.

There are three walls with different levels of difficulties outisde.  K tried the easiest wall (yellow in colour).

She tried 3 times on the yellow wall and manage to reach the 'mountain' level (there are 4 levels on the yellow wall - slope, hill, mountain and peak).
K managed to climb to 'mountain' level
The kids can give themselves a sticker whenever they reached a particular level
Caelan's and Ping Heng's daddy even joined in the fun and go for a round at the wall! Bravo! (OK, at this point, K who is sitting next to me asked me to highlight that her daddy did not climb the wall :P)

After that, it was time for singing the birthday song and eating the cake and other yummy food.

Then, last but not least, a group photo for the Dec babies!

K enjoyed herself very much and mommy enjoyed catching up with the mommies again! :)

Here are some videos to share too! Very noisy as it started raining heavily.

After months of planning, its finally the day for the mass (belated) birthday bash!  The bash is supposed to have a Barney theme so most of the stuff (see below) are barney related....

Kate fell asleep after all the fun and so papa and mommy cannot have a nice dinner at Suntec.  Instead, they decided to buy McDonald's at a drive-through.  But Kate later woke up so the family has dinner at McDonald's instead which suits her very much! :)

This is a picture of the self made birthday card by Lilien.... very beautiful.... with the date of birth of all the kids inside....

The birthday gifts in the goodie bags sourced by Lilien and Catherine.... a Dora lunch box (the boys have Thomas Train I think), and a Barney towel....

20090810 polliwogs@east coast

Kate was recovering from her running nose/cough/phlegm and so mommy decided to bring her to meet some mommy friends for some fun at the newly opened indoor playground at Polliwogs at East Coast.

It was drizzling that day and so the outdoor area was not opened. So disappointing :(

Kate on one of the bridges.

With Denise at the ball area. Denise is getting prettier! :)

Papa join in the fun.

Kate going down the slide into the ball area. She will get out of the area, look for the nearest 'staircase' up and shout 'ballball, ballball' and then slide down again. The slides are all very smooth which is fun, but dangerous too.

Trying to crawl through the net. There is another one which is big enough for walking through, and these 2 seems to be the most under utilised part of the playground :P

All the steps are made with rounded 'logs' like those children's gym material so that kids will not injure themselves if they fall.

Kate, Caelan and Meg. Cae had recently being promoted to gor-gor status. :)

Meg having alot of fun with the balls....

Meg and Kate carrying the little balls to put into the inverted funnel so that they will be drawn up the tubing and then shoot out from the top of the funnel.

Denise going down the slide to the balls area.
Regina and her paternal grandparents. She has active grandparents! :) Regina is very sweet and always dresses in style!
Regina and Kate. Don't know why Kate sticks out her tongue.

part of the tunnel which has 'punching bags' obstacles.

another obstacle. All made of soft, gym-like material

We left when the place gets more crowded with the arrival of more children (including older children who tend to push without thinking) and went for lunch with some of the mommies at the hawker before leaving for Bedok Jetty for some aeroplane viewing. Could only see one though.

On the way back to the car park. Kate is struggling as she wanted mommy to carry her, but mommy is too tired. Mommy woke up the next morning with sore hips from too much climbing up and down at the playground.
